Organisation details
Description of activity
CRAE protects the human rights of children by lobbying government and others who hold power, by bringing or supporting test cases and by using regional and international human rights mechanisms. They provide legal information, raise awareness of children’s human rights, and undertake research about children’s access to their rights. They mobilise others, including children and young people, to take action to promote and protect children's human rights. Each year CRAE publish a review of the state of children's rights in England.
On 5th August 2015 the Children’s Rights Alliance for England (CRAE) merged into Just for Kids Law.
CRAE and Just for Kids Law know that children’s rights are a powerful tool in making life better for children and young people and share the same ambition to achieve the full realisation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) which the UK ratified in 1991.
