New sexual health campaign: help Richmond Council reach young people

In Richmond upon Thames and across London, STIs (sexually transmitted infections) remain a public health concern with many young people unaware they have an infection and can pass it on to others without realising it.

Many STIs can occur without noticeable symptoms. When left untreated, they can have psychological, social and financial effects, and impact on an individual's sexual and fertility health.

Getting tested can be scary, stressful and awkward but it is also really simple. We want more young people aged 16 to 18 and 18 to 35 to get tested.

STI tests can be ordered online and sent straight to their address for simple, easy and confidential testing.

We're running a campaign to encourage young people to get tested routinely and help look after themselves and their partners.

Visit the Sexual Health London (SHL) website to find out more about online STI kits.
