Have your say: Consultation for community infant, junior and primary schools in Kingston and Richmond

Achieving for Children is currently consulting on the admission arrangments for community infant, junior and primary schools in the Kingston and Richmond boroughs for the academic year 2027-28.

The proposed arrangements include:

Kingston

Reducing the published admission number for entry into Reception at:

  • King's Oak Primary School, from 90 to 60 pupils
Richmond

Reducing the published admission number for entry into Reception at the followings schools:

  • Buckingham Primary School, from 90 to 60 pupils
  • Darell Primary School, from 60 to 30 pupils
  • Heathfield Infant School, from 120 to 90 pupils
  • Lowther Primary School, from 60 to 30 pupils

And, reducing the published admission number for entry into Year 3 at:

  • Heathfield Junior School, from 120 to 90 pupils
How to share your feedback

The consultation will run until 5pm on Friday 9 January 2026. 

Anyone wishing to submit their views can complete the online response form, or by sending your response by email to [email protected], or by post to: School Admissions, Guildhall 2, Kingston KT1 1EU. 

Please note that only responses which include the respondent’s name and address will be accepted to help identify multiple responses and to assess the level of local interest in each proposal.

After the closing date, the responses will be collated and presented to the Education and Children’s Services Committee on 29 January 2026 for a decision before the admission arrangements are determined. The final arrangements  will be published on this webpage by 15 March 2026.
