Solving the SEND Crisis - Inquiry

Solving the SEND Crisis - Inquiry

The Education Select Committee recently announced an Inquiry into Solving the SEND Crisis.

A number of recent reports have set out in detail the extent of the crisis in the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) system, which is letting down children and their families, creating intense pressure on local authority funding and on schools.

This inquiry will focus on how to achieve both short term stability and long-term sustainability for the SEND system to improve experiences and outcomes for children and young people.

The Committee welcomes evidence from parents and carers, early years settings, schools, local authorities and anyone else with an interest in the system. We would encourage you to respond with your ideas for how the SEND system can be improved.

There is a number of accessible formats of the Inquiry available including Easy Read and BSL. The deadline to respond is 30th January 2025 at 6pm.
